To our amazing Yehudi champions

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR AMAZING WORK!

  • What do I need to do in the run-up to the campaign?
Start thinking about what you would like to set as your personal fundraising target ( £100 / £200 / £500 – any amount that you are comfortable with!) ) and which family members and friends you plan to contact during the campaign. A few days before the campaign, we will be in touch asking you to send a message to your contacts using whichever platform you feel most comfortable with (phone, text, WhatsApp, social media or email) to let them know about the upcoming campaign and that you will be asking them to help us reach its target.
  • What can I win?
We want you to all have the best time fundraising and make sure your efforts feel appreciated. This is why we are offering a raffle and prizes throughout the day. There will be group prizes and individual prizes to be won. For the groups in each year that raise the most amount of money together, you can win for your group: 1st place - a group meal out at a restaurant of your choosing! 2nd place - pizza out for your group! 3rd place - coffee and cake for your group! If you raise over a certain amount, you will be entered into a raffle to win a prize! £500+ and get entered into a raffle to win a £150 Amazon Gift Card. £750+ and get entered into a raffle to win Airpods Pro. £1,000+ and get entered into a raffle to win an iPad. Throughout the day, there will be YeHoodies (Yehudi Hoodies) given out throughout the day, as well as to those who raise the most money and get the most amount of donors!
  • Will you supply me with wording for a text, WhatsApp message or email?
Yes, we will be sending out a draft copy, which you are welcome to edit and personalise before sending out to your contacts together with the link to your personal fundraising page. You will receive the link to your personal fundraising page and draft wording just before the campaign goes live (most likely Motzei Shabbat 18 March 2023 or very early Sunday morning).
  • What do I do during the campaign itself?
From Sunday 19 March 2023, you’ll send out the message you have prepared to your contacts, together with some links to the Yehudi campaign film and most importantly the link to your personal fundraising page. During the 36 hours you should regularly send out reminders and requests asking your family and friends to support you. Ask your parents to forwards your link to their contacts! It’s straightforward and your mentors will be on hand to answer any questions along the way.
  • Why can’t we start sending out our link now?
The campaign will only be live from 10am Sunday 19 March 2023 and therefore it is not possible to make a donation on the online platform before. Evidence suggests that people will click on the link as soon as they receive your message - if they can’t donate immediately, you may well lose out on a donation!
  • Will I be notified whenever somebody donates to my page?
Yes! you will receive an email notification. If somebody donates anonymously on the public page, you will still be notified of their identity and amount. This comes in handy if you want to send a personal thank you – donors love a little thank you! You never know, they might give again…
